    I adore these stories, but of course I relish in the psychological torture Christians put themselves through instead of just admitting they’re gay. Interestingly it is always gay Christian men, never closeted Christian lesbians. I wonder if there is a male chromosome specifically creating self loathing based solely of obsolete fairy tales?

    Dorian – men have the higher sex drive, hence more likely to engage in desperate behaviors like seeking prostitutes and sex in public restrooms. This behavior also correlates with the taboo upon the acts – if they didn’t have to keep it secret, they would likely be having healthy, ordinary relationships.

    We could discourage this sort of desperate behavior in Delaware by ending civil discrimination and extending the same legal protections that my wife and I enjoy to same-sex couples (ie civil unions).

    One comment – seriously. I do pity these men. Not only because they are forced to this by some religious delusion, but mostly because soliciting sex from another willing adults (even paying for it) should be absolutely legal. Where the hell is Prof. Newton to agree with me!

    On you other point I agree. I see no reason to prohibit gay marriage other than on religious and bigoted grounds. Both are unacceptable reasons. I would be elated if any loving gay couples were able to share in marriage as my wife and I do. Only marriage (not civil unions) imparts the true and utmost respect to the relationship. Partners defines marriage – nothing else.
