Conservative Push Back Against Suspicionless Drug Test…?

Filed in National by on January 7, 2009

My advice – Don’t hold your breath.

“Conservative” Republicans have sold out their libertarian minded brothers time and again in favor of sucking up to the empty rhetoric loving “social” conservatives.

And yet, Carnacki at West Virginia Blue sees some hope for a Republican change of heart on Constitutional issues:

Now, even Hoppy Kercheval has chimed in with an editorial citing, wait for it, The United State Constitution and more specifically the Fourth Amendment, as a means of shooting down the Kanawha county school board’s decision to implement an unlawful policy.

Given Hoppy’s political leanings and the groundwork laid out by the previous Daily Mail editorial, I think there is good reason to assume that a conservative revolt against random and suspicionless drug testing could be in the works.
