For anyone who knows anything about the Beatles and their various public personas – this is a telling personality test.

In my youth I like the hard driving capitalist. As I matured though, I feel more drawn to the spiritual seeker.

  3. Rebecca says:

Sir Paul still has those dreamy eyes that just made me swoon in my youth. But I loved all of them. They were the soundtrak to so many parties — on LP vinyl of course.

  4. a. price says:

    drug addled hippies.
    and george.

  5. Mrs XStryker says:

I picked Paul, but I feel bad that no one’s chosen Ringo yet. He’s such the bastard stepchild.

  6. pandora says:

    It’s gotta be John!

  7. anon says:

The Beatles didn’t do much for me; I’m more of a Stones guy.

  8. Unstable Isotope says:

I picked George because I liked some of his solo stuff.

  9. RSmitty says:

I suppose the BeeGees nor Peter Frampton are to be counted on this?
    Billy Preston? 😛
    Had to go there!

    Pete Best?

Really, I liked them all for various reasons, but my personal standout is George Harrison. The mastery of inner reflection, the patience of grasping and understanding turmoil, the desire to absorb circumstance and think-out consequence and a generous and kind heart.

All four have/had good qualities, but I recall George as having far less impurities, relative to what he preached: John had nasty temper, could be somewhat violent (slap-type stuff), staunchly stubborn. Paul (or Billy Campbell [Shears]…HA) has an ego that requires the occassional stroke and also stubborn, but not quite like John. Ringo was definitely the partier of the four, but have seen articles through my youthful Rolling Stone reading days that he had quite a streak of being a pompous ass when the stage lights were off.

Funny. I just voted (for John) and when the results came up I felt the same way as Mrs XS. Poor Ringo… Peace and love, peace and love…

  11. liberalgeek says:

I went John. I remember my Mom crying when he was killed in New York. It was only later that I came to really appreciate his music and persona. If it weren’t for that damn Yoko Ono!!!

  12. RSmitty says:

Poor Ringo… Peace and love, peace and love…

What’s impressed me most about Ringo was he may be the only person to out-drink Keith Moon on a regular basis (I am talking benders, not the life-long ambitions of people like Keith Richards) and he’s still here today to raise a glass to it. Impressive!

Of course, he gave us “Caveman.”

  13. Von Cracker says:

In order – John, George, Paul, Ringo, Elvis.

What I like about Ringo, though, is that he always acts like he knows how lucky he is. He’s quite aware that he’s the only replaceable part of the group….

  14. Yoko Ono had her uses. ‘Bulo once hosted a party where the guests just wouldn’t leave. The Beast Who Slumbers put on Yoko’s “Fly” album.

The guests hastily departed, and soon the Beast Who Slumbers was in Dreamland.

  15. liberalgeek says:

I have the 45 of Instant Karma and the B-side is Yoko Ono setting the poem Who has Seen the Wind to music. Ouch.

  16. jason330 says:

    bulo,

Re-entering the room wearing a bathrobe also works.

  17. liberalgeek says:

    I guess with your body, that’s true…

  18. jason330 says:

    Someone voted for Ringo…thank God.

  19. nemski says:

    Someone voted for Ringo…thank God.

My money is on Ringo himself.

  20. edisonkitty says:

John is, for me a hero who overcame tremendous adversity to leave an indelible mark on the world, leaving it all the better for having been here. He came from a poor, dysfunctional family. He was stunningly immature and a textbook male chauvinist pig. He got addicted to heroin.

In spite of this (because of this?) he made some of the best music ever written and performed. He first entertained, then enlightened the world. He took on Richard Nixon and won. He conquered his addictions, found true love, and inner peace.

Oh, and a footnote: a nameless psychopath assassinated him, hoping to capture his fame.

The Beatles are the greatest band there will ever be. John was the greatest of the bunch.

    “Poll: Whose Your Favourite Beatle?”

    Who’s.

    And it’s Beatle the Bard.

  22. Jennifer says:

John is my favorite. I Love all the Beatle’s songs but I tend to love John’s just a bit more. In My Life would be my favorite if I had to pick one, Maybe a day in the life (yes I know Paul had a hand in that one), help,Lucy in the sky and I am the walrus…so hard to choose…so many I truly love!
The difference for me with paul is I can easily narrow it down to 2, Eleanor Rigby and Let it Be.

  23. a. price says:

    “John. Go0-goo-ga-joob” -manifold….
    the walrus was paul.
