Not even if it’s empty except for you?

  2. Unstable Isotope

So, you’re ok if no one walks in?

  3. Von Cracker

    it permeates, definitely.

  4. Unstable Isotope

I learned something today, that makes today a good day. I’m such a nerd though my mind is trying to wander into an explanation as to why this would be so.

  5. Von Cracker

    doesn’t heat expand molecules?

  6. Unstable Isotope

Expand? No, it makes them move faster. If it’s actually worse, I wonder if it has to do with the high humidity. The smelly portion of flatus (technical term, isn’t it cool?) is sulfur compounds, like hydrogen sulfide. Could it be a solubility issue?

  7. Unstable Isotope

Oh, you’ve started a chain reaction. Now my husband and I are discussing the issue, from a scientific perspective.

  8. Unstable Isotope

He’s a nerd too, he thinks there needs to be control experiments. This may be part of the reason why people have a hard time relating to scientists.

  9. Von Cracker

Ah yes, the stuff inside the molecules move faster, so to speak.

Chem 103 was a long time ago :sigh:

Eleven comments in and nobody has asked how you know.

The science of breaking wind. That’s why I love DL. You just can’t get this stuff anywhere else.

“The science of breaking wind…. You just can’t get this stuff anywhere else.”

But it’s available here on a daily basis.

    anon,

I think we figured that out without asking.

    Miscreant,
