The Delaware Book Burning Mobile Returns.

Yesterday, the Delaware Family Planning Council had their first “Citizen Action Day” in Dover in SB 293, which our own ‘Bulo has nominated for “The Worst Bill of the Year,” and for good reason. Because they have a nice long list of books they want to ban from Delaware schools, and they want to use this bill to do it.

Conflicting Messages from your Delaware GOP.

Filed in National by on June 23, 2010 11 Comments

There seems to be a confused message from Dick Cathcart and his minions on the GOP side of the aisle in the General Assembly. Since the budget was released yesterday, and posted online today, we have heard from the Republicans that this budgets spends too much, but it should spend more. Yet in the JFC, the Republican members offered no specific proposals to cut spending. How courageous of them.

I’m not sure how closely you have been following the race for Sheriff in New Castle County.  As small-time elections go, this one has the makings of the most interesting primary in New Castle County.  Long-time Sheriff, Mike Walsh has held the office since Reagan was elected President.  He is being challenged by NCC police […]

Filed in National by on June 22, 2010 26 Comments

This morning’s news has been full of reactions and some deconstructions of the upcoming Rolling Stone article that profiles the top U.S. Commander in Afghanistan, but apparently ends up dissing President Obama, VP Biden, the WH National Security Team and the State Department along the way. I haven’t been able to find the article to read (there was a pdf at Politico that I can’t find), but what I do read makes me wonder what the General was thinking wen he agreed to this.
