Questions…

Filed in National by on March 1, 2012

First, wouldn’t the Blunt Amendment* allow an anti-vaccine boss deny coverage for immunizations?

Second, if you are a member of a Catholic Parish could you be denied birth control coverage?

Yeah, that seems silly, but given the way Catholic bishops are behaving I’d say that we’re pretty close to monitoring menstruation.  Seems like insurance companies could simply add a question to their forms asking you to identify your religion.

*The Blunt Amendment would allow employers who provide health benefits to deny coverage of particular services (including contraception) for reasons of conscience.  It was defeated today, but I bet it will be back.

This would not only effected woman but men also, Say you are a father who’s 5 year old child needs a blood transfusion to save his or her life but your employer is a Jehovah Witness who doesn’t approve of transfusions he could deny you that life saving coverage.

I myself are tired of hearing Blunt and others who keep saying this is a religious freedom issue it’s a Health issue folks and we all know that REPUKS are against Health care

Teachable moment: employers should not control your health care.

I’d far rather have my health care controlled by my elected government than by my boss.

Christian Scientists wouldn’t have to insure anyone. 😉

These Repuk’s will be shocked to learn that the bill they voted for would have subjected fellow Americans to Sharia law, at least those that work in Muslim businesses.

This is a theme that the Dem’s should pick up
