I still need to find that link for the FSM stats, and I'm open to suggestions for titling this for max impact. It is easy to see why Delawarean Sher Valenzeula was asked to speak on the RNC's “We Built This” theme night in Tampa. She is a successful latina small business person who built her business all alone without any government support whatsoever. Her story is a real rebuke to President Obama's take on capitalism.

'I Don't Need No More Steenkin' Debates'. That's the conclusion that Wilmington Mayoral candidate Dennis P. Williams has reached. He may be right. There have been something like 18 of them, and Williams has taken part in something like 17. However, recent surfacings of the famous Williams temper suggest that he may be staging a strategic retreat from the arena that often provides a glimpse into that temper.

The Polling Report [8.24.12]

There was a lot of polling information this week, and there is more below, although today, it doesn't change any state from red to blue or vice versa. This morning, I decided to focus on some internals of recent polls, and some forecast models. First, Charlie Cook said yesterday that, with the unemployment rate at 8% and with two thirds of the country thinking we are going in the wrong direction, then how in the hell is President Obama winning this election? There is quite an easy answer, and I will let fellow GW alum John Sides explain. Here's the new Map, showing Missouri becoming a Strong Romney state, which is the only change from yesterday.
