Inside the hellish workday of an Amazon warehouse employee

We paid $4.5 million so Amazon can treat Delaware workers like disposable garbage.
It took just three days of working full time at an Amazon “fulfillment center” outside of Louisville, Kentucky, for Emily Guendelsberger’s body to break down. She’d been warned by her supervisors that it would be physically demanding. She’d be on her feet for 12-hour shifts, walking a total of 15 to 20 miles through a 25-acre warehouse — as long as seven New York blocks — looking for merchandise to fulfill online orders.
“(Amazon workers) don’t have an expectation of being treated like human beings,” Guendelsberger says. “It’s become so normalized to be treated like garbage at work and clamp down on your self-respect and dignity.”
But..but..but...Jobs!!

So… “Bernie Bros” are the new “Antifa” which was the new “ACORN” which was the new “Weather Underground” which was the new “Sacco and Vanzetti”

We all need to agree that everything bad that happens to Bloomberg is the fault of "Bernie Bros." Also, Bernie Bros are the biggest scourge facing mankind since the last biggest scourge.
For the second time, 2020 candidate Michael Bloomberg’s campaign has accused Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) supporters of vandalizing one of the campaign’s offices without providing any evidence. The Bloomberg campaign reported on Monday that vandals had spray painted “OLIGARCH” on the entrance of its office in Chicago, Illinois Sunday night, which the campaign described as “an act of hate.” Bloomberg campaign manager Kevin Sheekey admitted in a statement that “while we do not know who is directly responsible,” Sanders and his campaign “have repeatedly invoked this language, and the word ‘oligarch'” to describe the billionaire.

Online Fundraiser for Jess Scarane Day 1

Last week we noted how well the Jess Scarane campaign is going (100 active volunteers who have knocked over 10,000 doors in all three counties) in spite of a press blackout from local media.    This amazing momentum is based on a great candidate with a great progressive message running against a   deeply unpopular incumbent.   "How can I help out?" is what you are thinking.   Well, hold that thought for a second and consider this.   Even highly motivated grassroots campaigns need money.  So you can help out by donating a little money and when you do, that money is going to have a huge impact.   The "win number" in a primary like this is very low (around 60,000).  It must be the lowest required primary vote win number in the nation for a Senate seat.   The low win number and the media landscape in Delaware means that an inexpensive, grassroots movement can win.   With your contribution, this primary is super winnable.    A $10, $20, $50 contribution is going to have a huge impact.  Not only that  - I'll match it.  So a $10, $20, $50 contribution is really a $20, $40, $100 contribution.   My goal is to write a check for $500 by Friday.    Make me write that check.  Do it now.   Do it because Coons is terrible. Do it because Jess Scarane is great. Just do it.       Donate Here -> jessfordelaware.com Learn More about Jess Scarane Here - > www.jessfordelaware.com/issues

I was wrong about Pete Buttigieg

Back in April when I wrote "I love Pete Buttigieg" and said that he was legit and could go the distance. I was wrong. Maybe much too moderate for my taste, being gay and smart I thought he could thread the needle and articulate his positions in a way that could appeal to leftists and centrists alike. I was wrong about that. He is as tone deaf and out of step with the Democratic primary voter as any MSNBC talking head. I was wrong. Not to blow my own horn, but unlike most bloggers, I can admit when I am wrong.
