Media outlets in Japan and Taiwan are reporting that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has died. This has not been confirmed by the North Korean government or by sources in South Korea. Earlier in the week, a South Korean site that specializes North Korea news indicated that the “Unique Leader” was gravely ill following cardiac surgery.

The rate of infection in Sussex County is apparently five times higher than Newcastle County at this time. The News Journal has an article entitled,.. “Why Sussex County has seen a drastic increase in coronavirus cases”…, but instead of the News Journal wanting to perform a civic good deed by informing people how to maybe avoid being infected, it has decided to make this article for subscribers only.

If any subscribers want to copy and paste the article, it would be greatly appreciated.

I applaud the Governor’s face mask order, even if it’s a little late. Now, where is the Governor’s Tyvek® clad, sprayer equipped disinfecting task force?

Kim dead? Guessing Trump is crying his eyes out over this one. Buck up Donny, there will be other horrible dictators to pal around with. Not surprised the rate of infection is thru the roof in Sussex, if there ever was a group that should have had masks it’s the workers in the chicken plants.

Don’t forget all the people from the hot spots of New York, and New Jersey who bypassed Wilmington and headed straight to the beaches. The whole quarantine for two weeks when you get here thing was an absolute joke that few followed because there was no way to enforce it….The cops set up token check points on Rt.1 for like one day just to say they did it.

Delaware was narrowly missed by the path of Hurricane Sandy back in 2012, but I guess in the end, it turned out that it didn’t miss us after all.

          • RSE says:

You know, because the New Yorkers started coming here when their beaches were trashed by Hurricane Sandy… Before that, it was rare to see New Yorkers in Sussex County.

You must not know many gays. Back in the ’70s, at least, lots of guys who weren’t out of the closet back home came down to Rehoboth for their fun and games.

              • RSE says:

Totally different thing. The New York, New Jersey phenomena is within the last decade, and it is directly connected to Hurricane Sandy, as well as taxes of course .

I wouldn’t pin it on Sandy. I was fortunate to vacation in Rehoboth and Dewey Beaches for 2 weeks every year since I was a young child in the ’70s until as an adult I moved there from ’90 till ’15 when I had always lived in the resort areas of Bethany, Rehobo or Lewes. Both kids worked at Funland for several summers. My anecdotal experience informs me that nothing paved the way for out of control development and Northern migration into Sussex more than the completion of limited access highway route 1. Prior to that the trip took 3 to 4 hours from suburban Wilmington. You think Rehoboth traffic is bad now? And so it continues as Milton is now deemed a “Beach town.”

              • Alby says:

Route 1 opened after my years working summers in Rehobo, but I agree, it eliminated the weekend traffic jams.

I also don’t go anymore, so maybe it’s worse than it used to be.

bold of you to think that trump values any life other than his own.

Alby, Why are people upset with Joe on meeting with Larry Summers?
This is the best prayor on Trump I have ever heard = Trump prayor is the best https://twitter.com/duckie_66/status/1254711283347271680?s=20

    • Alby says:

Because Larry Summers is a neoliberal economist who thinks economic inequality is exactly as things should be.
