Rethugs Lock In Minority Government.  The will of the people will be thwarted by the Supreme Court–unless Democrats do something bold.  Which would be, what’s the phrase, out of character.  McConnell: ‘They Won’t Be Able To Do Much About This For A Long Time”.  Dems should take him up on this thrown-down gauntlet.

A Plan For The Democrats.  It’s bleak, but not totally bleak.

How Trump And Bolsonaro Destroyed Latin America’s Defenses Against COVID.  A must-read.  I learned something.  Already knew that Trump and Bolsonaro were would-be autocrats though.

Kushner: Black Americans ‘Need To Want To Be Successful’. Thus said the poster boy for white privilege.  Tone deafness is a family trait.

2020 Is Nothing Like 2016.  Read this and feel better.  I’m feeling better. Clip ‘n save.

How To Tackle Joblessness And Hunger At The Same Time.  The kind of creative thinking we need.  Let’s put it into action.

The Rust Belt Jobs Boom That Wasn’t.  This won’t help Trump.

Tiny Islamic School In Newark Serves Over 1 Million Meals To Needy.  A tremendous feel-good story.

The Republicans have been fighting a war to keep power since Bush, the Dems are still pretending there can be Coonsian bipartisanship. Nope, it’s fight hard or go the hell home at this point. As for the courts pretty sure I know what the Republicans would do if the situation was reversed: They would move to discredit the courts and portray them as what they truly are, just as political and biased as anything else in Washington. That and tearing down institutions has never bothered them.

Interview that aired on Delaware’s NPR program “The Green” today about the race between Cathy Cloutier and Kyle Evans Gay: https://www.delawarepublic.org/post/races-watch-state-senate-5th-district

Of note: “Cloutier declined to be interviewed for this story.”

    • Andrew: I’ve been lit dropping for Kyle for the better part of the past month. (I was lit dropping for Marie Pinkney during the primary, and I’m damn glad I did. Marie is special.)

I’m telling you, this is not going to be close. What follows is a TRUE STORY:

The turfs that I dropped this Saturday and today were in Blue Rock Manor and Green Acres, respectively. There were plenty of Kyle signs and a boatload of Biden/Harris and Black Lives Matter signs. The following counts are true:

      Total Cloutier signs: 1

Total ‘Presidents Are Temporary, Wu Tang Is Forever’ signs: 2

      • One more thing: Why the bleep would you decline to be interviewed for a softball chat like this? She was, and remains, pathetic.

        • One more thing. This is what the Cloutier ‘campaign’ is doing with its time: Affixing ‘Remember To Vote By Nov. 3’ stickers to their signs and, I’m not making this up, doing (very limited) distribution of door hangers.

Door hangers? What good are door hangers when the only campaign that is even marginally competitive is YOURS, and you’re losing badly? Is that what the unions are doing for her? If so, they need more than one union volunteer to get it done. Sad.

I did a joint drop for Larry an Kyle in Buckingham not a single Teal mush message sign:)

I’ve got my Wu Tang sign out of front. Different district but it is true regardless of the district.
