March: Minimum Wage Bill Passes Senate On Party-Line Vote.

April: Senate Passes Two Gun Safety Bills.

Self-Dealing Ex-Legislator Indicted For Falsifying Cops’ Drug/Alcohol Test Results.  A blatant self-dealer gets her just desserts. Former State Rep. Rebecca Walker killed death penalty bill at cops’ request, got job in a police agency, didn’t administer required drug/alcohol tests to cops.  Anybody see a theme here–like running interference for cops?

Sarah McBride Hailed As A Role Model By Transgender Kids.  What, you thought I wouldn’t give props to Sarah?

May: Kim Stock And Kecia Nesmith Defeat RWNJ’s In Local School Board Elections. We endorsed them. They won, as did other non-MAGAts. MAGAts lost.

June:  General Assembly Eliminates The Mike Ramone ‘Minimum Training Wage’.  Wonder what the going hourly rate is for robot lifeguards.

Dave Sokola Removes Darius Brown From Senate Judiciary Committee.  Brown is the only miscreant legislator to suffer any consequences this year.

General Assembly Passes Two Decent Gun Safety Bills.  Proof that sometimes you add by subtracting.  In this case, getting rid of Dave McBride led to passage of these bills, instead of their burial.

The General Assembly Passes The $15 Minimum Wage BillA singular accomplishment.  Arguably the most effective grassroots mobilization effort on behalf of a piece of legislation in Delaware ever.

General Assembly Passes Bill Requiring All Police Officers To Wear Body Cameras.

General Assembly Passes Two Bills Addressing Police Accountability, both sponsored by Marie Pinkney.

July: AG Reaches Settlement For $50 Mill From DuPont, Chemours and Corteva.

Ernie Lopez Announces He Will Not Seek Reelection.

August: Rep. Madinah Wilson-Anton Files Official Complaint Against Gerald Brady.

September: Folks Finally Wise Up To Ft. DuPont Redevelopment Scam.

October:  Kathleen McGuiness Indicted.

THE BAD

Jan. NCC Cops Kill Lymond Moses. Lie About Being ‘In Harm’s Way’.

Feb: Delaware Slow-Walks Covid Response For Latino CommunitiesCarney’s Pathetic Response.  His reaction? ‘I thought Maria Matos was a team player’.  He’s all about team players who keep their mouths shut.

March: Chris Coons & Tom Carper Vote Against Minimum Wage Increase In COVID Relief Bill.  They, of course, support ‘the concept’, just not an actual living wage.

House Kop Kabal Kills Bill Calling For Investigation Into Treatment Of Prisoners.

April:  House Kop Kabal Kills Police Reform By Stacking ‘Law Enforcement Accountability Task Force’ Full Of Cops, & Names Ex-Cop/Current Legislator To Head It.

May: ‘Police Accountability Task Force’ Votes Against Police Accountability:

  • FAILED – Create policies creating civilian review boards for police agencies
  • FAILED – Review the Law Enforcement Officer’s Bill of Rights
  • FAILED – Review Collective Bargaining Agreements, in particular their relationship with Freedom of Information Act requests

Darius Brown Disgraces Himself. At least twice. Gets job for no apparent justifiable reasonDarius does it again.

Delaware House Rethugs Kill ‘No-Excuse-Needed’ Absentee Voting.

June: Steve Smyk Implicated In Sex Discrimination/Harassment Suit.  Nobody Does Nothin’.

Buccini/Pollin Beneficiary Stephanie Bolden Kills Tenant Right To Counsel Bill In Housing Committee:

Personal to Stephanie Bolden: We know what you did on SS1/SB 101.  It’s unforgivable.  Hundreds of renters in your very own district will not be afforded legal assistance thanks to you, and only you.  Retire.  Or be retired.  Because everybody in your district (if you still have a district) will be made aware of this before you face the voters, if you have the chutzpah to face the voters. That’s a promise.  Is that City Council receptionist job still open?”

Our PAL Val & Nicole ‘No Longer’ Poore Cash In For Their Respective Employers:

“Jobs For Delaware Graduates: $1,395,197.  That’s fucking obscene.  Congra(f)ts to Nicole Poore for pumping all these state funds into your worthless organization.

Police Athletic League Of Delaware: $187,272.  Should be enough to keep Our Pal Val in drinking money at Crabby Dick’s for another year.  Failing that, Nicole can certainly pick up the tab.”

House Leadership Lied To Senate On Gun Control Measures. Senate did their job, House leadership reneged on running the Senate bills.  Don’t think we’ve heard the last of this.

July: State Cops Terrorize Innocent Woman. Hide behind LEOBOR.  They have the right to terrorize innocent women.  It’s the law in Delaware.

November: Mt. Cuba Fires Docents Just In Time For Christmas.  Hey, it’s what plutocrats do.  Boycott Mt. Cuba.

December: NCC Cops Skate After Murdering Lymond Moses.  It’s legal for cops to murder people in Delaware.  With cops in control in Dover, that can’t change.

THE RIDICULOUS

March: Coons Praises Biden’s Willingness To Work ‘Across The Aisle’.

Stephanie Bolden & Sherry Dorsey Walker Object To Ruth Minor-Brown Being Elected As Majority Whip, Ensuring The Reelection of Larry Mitchell.  Two more kop kabal enablers who should be primaried.  It, of course, happened earlier.  This is when we found out about it.

Dave Lawson: ‘We’re Going To Be A Spanish-Speaking Country.’

April:  Delaware Rethug Legislators Demand Return To Meeting In Person So That Gun Nuts Can Intimidate Gun Safety Supporters.

Delaware Medical Cannabis Industry Opposes Legalized Weed.

John Carney Reacts To Paid Family Leave Bill Introduction:

”The Governor understands the value of paid leave for workers and their families,” said Carney’s spokesperson Jonathan Starkey in a statement on Wednesday. “Expanding the program — and expanding it into the private sector — is more complex. Getting it right will require conversations with businesses, small and large, that will be required to pay for the new benefit.”

Coons Takes Leadership Role In ‘Progressive’ Organization That Is Anything But Progressive.  Replaces that other noted progressive:  Jack Markell.

July: Gerald Brady Shares His Innermost Racist Thoughts With Someone He Thinks Shares His Innermost Racist Thoughts.  OOPSIES.  Blows up what remains of his political career instead.  But is given a pass until next November, courtesy of Pete & Val.

August: Mike Protack Proves How Unhinged He Is.  Can he keep his well-groomed pornstache in the slammer?  Would he want to?

Unmasked Idiots Shut Down School Board Meetings.  Could it be because the more students learn, the less likely they’ll be to vote for idiots?  The group behind this? ‘Patriots For Delaware’.

September: Kop Kabal Threatens Caucus With Reprisal Should Anybody Even Utter A Thought About Gerald Brady.   Then Holds Closed-Door Ethics Committee Meeting, And Clears Him.  Unanimously.  Dictators gotta dictate dictatorially.

Brandywine Hundred Idiot Files Suit To Force Hospital To Feed Him Worm Medicine. Ya see, he has (had?) covid, and he insisted he had the freedumb to take the stuff. Which he does (did?).  Only not in the hospital and not on somebody else’s dime.

October: ‘Fiscal Watchdog’ Kathy McGuiness Files Suit To Make State Pay For Her Defense.  To the tune of about $1300 an hour.  Court response: ‘You’re welcome to a Public Defender’.  The millionairess opts instead to dig into her private stash.

Lauren Witzke Contracts Covid. Blames ‘Bio-Weapons’ From The ‘Demonic Beast System’.  Who’s to say she’s wrong?

November:  The Delaware Pharmacists Society Names Kathleen McGuiness Its ’Pharmacist Of The Year’.  For spending taxpayers’ $$’s to write three reports on behalf of independent pharmacies (like the one she used to own) that had nothing to do with her duties as State Auditor.  She sure didn’t, um, practice pharmacy during the year, right? I mean, didn’t she already have a full-time job? Not that she did it.

December: Andria Bennett Latest Useless Leg Hall Critter To Get Job She Doesn’t Deserve.  It’s ridiculous, but not ‘bad’.  Anything that gets her out of Dover…

Sussex Mega-Developer Proposes ‘Agri-Community’ For Dagsboro.  500 houses and a tiny farm.  Will each lot at least get a hay bale?

Consider the decks officially cleared for more Good, Bad, & Ridiculous in 2022.

    • Thank you! My years of working in the General Assembly have honed my sense of the absurd to razor-sharpness. Not to mention, I never worry about where the next absurdity will come from. It just–shows up.
