Trump Promises Suburban Moms They Won’t Have To Worry About Blacks Any More. It’s more than possible that he really THINKS this is 1968. All-in on flat-out racism. It’s clear that Nixon’s 1968 campaign (‘the silent majority’) is his blueprint.
Rethugs Give Up (Almost) On Coronavirus Relief. There is, of course, a bill that has already passed the House. Here are the differences between the D and R plans. But there’s a large group of Rethug senators who aren’t prepared to vote for anything:
“I don’t know that there is another plan, other than no deal,” said White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. “Which will allow unemployment, enhanced unemployment, I might add, to expire. … No deal certainly becomes a greater possibility the longer these negotiations go.”
Forget about the political consequences. I can’t even begin to wrap my head around the human toll this will take.
US Suffered Largest Economic Downturn Since They Started Collecting Statistics. While not unexpected, a total disaster that underscores the political malpractice of allowing benefits to lapse.
House Passes $50 Billion Bill For Child Care Aid. Rethugs in Senate might include it in aid package, whenever it comes up.
‘Congressman COVID’ Allegedly Ordered Staff To Not Wear Masks. I know that these jobs are coveted, but stupid is as stupid does.
Feds To Retreat From Portland–Or Not. Everybody wants a return to normality, except for this abnormally-diseased President. I’ll believe they’re gone when they’re gone.

Watching the Lewis funeral speeches. James Lawson seemed to be directing some well-meaning criticism at the Coons’ of the world in dissing bipartisan approaches, rather for Constitutional approaches, in framing our governance.
I want his words in a clip to share asap to remind us now of what the movement brought about: Heads Start and affordable housing finding as well as the civil rights and voting rights legislation.

I found it interesting that during my browsing today I got a Chris Coons ad from the National Association of Realtors touting his work for Delaware’s economy.
Usually I get anti-Coons ads.
