American Journalism Fucking Sucks

American Journalism Fucking Sucks

Trump said “we have tests” but health experts said “we don’t have tests.”

Trump said, “We inherited obsolete broken tests from Obama admin. Now we have good tests.” Experts said, “That is not accurate.”

Trump said “X” but experts said “Y”.

American journalism puts lies on equal footing with the truth. American journalists have no stomach for calling lies what they are. That’s bad news for America.

Vote for Democrats. We are slightly less bad!

The problem with the Democratic Party strategy expressed above is that as Republicans get worse and worse, elected Dems simply adjust accordingly.

Don’t let Democrats off the Hook

Not much more can be said about the abject fuck-up that is Donald Trump. The temporary morgues outside of hospitals speak loudly on that topic. But don’t let the relative horror that is Republicanism allow you to dismiss the role that the Democratic Party has played in getting …

Delaware’s 1 Degree of Separation: Take the Poll

Filed in National by on March 29, 2020 22 Comments

In Delaware if you know where someone went to High School, you will find someone you know in common. I’m connected to Senator Laura Sturgeon, for example, through a Seaford HS friend of hers. SO who has it? Take the poll.

Why Did WDEL Lay Off Allan Loudell?

Filed in Delaware, National by on March 28, 2020 23 Comments

Jason 330 asked, “Is the business really that hand to mouth, or is this crisis a handy pretext?” Broadcast radio has the same problem newspapers do — it’s a bygone medium. It hasn’t lost listeners as fast as newspapers lost their readers, but its advertising base has shrunk for the same basic reason: Local businesses […]

Anthony Delcollo on Highlands Bunker

Anthony Delcollo on Highlands Bunker

Anthony Delcollo is one of the most exasperating figures in the Del Legislature. He is frequently on the correct side of the issues, and yet he is a Delaware Republican.  With everything we now know about the DEGOP, that means he is very probably a fucking asshole and/or a complete dick.

I’m only ten minutes in.  If you are on the fence about listening,  at least listen to the intro.  REV reads from Camus’ “The Plague”.

Take the poll – Do you feel funny?

The sidebar poll is usually an afterthought. I typically use it to take a cheap shot at Coons, but I’d like all of our lurkers to take a look at the current poll and give me a sense of where we are with this thing. If you are so moved you may also leave a […]
