Chris Coon's National Prayer Breakfast played an important role in Russian intelligence gathering operations. Coon's never stepped down as the Chairman of the Chris Coons National prayer breakfast even after the events role as a Russian "back channel" was exposed. Here is the key section from he Butina sentencing memo:

I sometimes wish the DEGOP wasn't a moribund joke so Kathy could just switch and be done with the pretending.

Delaware's Tom Carper isn't the only doddering old geezer blocking up the halls of the Senate. Iowa Republican Chuck Grassley showed what happens when an aged, out-of-touch political lifer holds…

Washington (CNN)- President Donald Trump took a literal shit on the Constitution Thursday evening at the National Archives. Preservationist working to restore the document called the President's excrement as "terrible as you might expect." According to his spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the President was motivated by a strong desire to "own Libs" which is getting more difficult by the day in the third year of his term. "It was easy to own libs two years ago," said Sanders "Now people barely remember the old norms of behavior, and you have all these Democrats in congress who it is impossible to get a rise out of, so you have get pretty extreme to own libs." When asked if "owning libs" was a valuable policy pursuit for the country Sanders simply gave her "What the fuck do you think" look.

Joe is in. I have a feeling that there are DL'ers who would prefer a different candidate, but everyone agrees that he would be better than Donald Trump. His announcement video (below the fold) is guileless and direct in its approach to what he thinks the country needs right now. I'd gladly support him if he wins the nomination. I also love and will gladly support whoever the Democrats nominate provided that contest is fair and transparent.

Today's headlines point to the fact that the race for the Democratic nomination is rapidly turning into a two person race. Mark the time: I'm calling it - Bernie v Mayor Pete. The good news is that both potential nominees are great. With Trump's numbers slumping, the only things that can trip Democrats up this year are zealots who cannot brook their candidate coming in second. In related news, Buttigieg expanded on his remarks yesterday. I don't think any honest Bernie supporter can take offense to this simple statement of fact below.
