Someone vandalized an Obama campaign building in Des Moines by spray painting the words “Muslim Lier” on a large banner, police said. The word “liar” was misspelled on the sign, officers said.
Sigh. And we know it's only going to get worse from the functional illiterate group.  Everybody... buckle up.

Watch the video inside and tell me what Sununu hopes to accomplish. Seriously, what's the point?  Oh, I get the big ol' dog whistle, but what I don't get is why Sununu would go down this path after a supposed victory?  These are not the words of winners. Maybe, he just didn't want to be outdone by his buddy Newt.

Some interesting things in those snap polls (and if you want to talk about skewed polls, Republicans, did you know that the CNN poll did not poll anyone under the age of 50 or of color?). First, the CBS poll found that 69% thought President Obama cares about their needs and problems, which is up from 53% before the debate. Second, the favorable / unfavorable numbers of both candidates remained unchanged after the debate. Indeed, while Romney won, he was an absolute and complete asshole during it. How many times did he interrupt Jim Lehrer and the President? And his "I get to have the last word" reaked of privileged entitlement. Peter Hamby of CNN tweeted: "So if [Romney] didn't fix his favorables with this debate, it means his victory was worth ZERO." And now onto the state of the race where it really matters:

Obama seemed distracted last night, and everyone can feel free to list their reasons why.  He missed several openings to hit Romney, but that's hardly new for Obama.  He's not a debater - go back and watch his debates against Hillary Clinton.  The best you can say about Obama is that he did no harm.  So was I thrilled with Obama's style last night?  No.  He lost on style, but there's two parts to a debate and the second one is substance.  (More on that in a minute)  What Obama did do was deny Mitt Romney a debate ad clip.  There was no gotcha moment for Mitt to seize upon. But if Mitt walks away with no ad clips Obama walks away with a ton. Which brings us to substance.

Tucker Carlson Is An Embarrassment

"All that Carlson did is clip it to get an "angry black man" in the minds of Americans. It's at once one of the most desperate and lame and vile plays of the race card I can remember - an obvious recognition that the 47 percent tape can only really be countered emotionally with race-baiting. [...] Carlson used to be a brilliant writer. He's now a racist demagogue. He's a story in one person of how degenerate and disgusting much of American "conservatism" has become." This is all they've got left, folks.  Expect more of this: Breaking News!  Obama is an angry black man! I had actually hoped we'd moved beyond this crap.  Silly me.

More Delaware GOP FAIL

The hapless Delaware GOP has decided to show the world just how toothless they currently are by deciding to try to gin up some pressure on Governor Jack Markell to not take a job that he doesn't have an offer for yet. Seriously -- this is what they want to talk about *today*. Remember, Politico posted up their highly speculative article, guessing that Gov. Markell would be selected for Secretary of Education in President Obama's second term on September 14 (and Delaware Dem wrote about it the same day). 19 days later, GOP Chair Siglar and Gov. candidate Jeff Cragg are haplessly demanding that Governor Markell pledge to serve out his full term. More weak sauce from the Delaware GOP.
