The Genie Is Out Of The Bottle
The real problem we are facing today is not that the Tea Party is part of the Republican Party, it’s that the Republican Party has been absorbed by the Tea Party. When the GOP lost the middle all it was left with was its fringe. And like all fringe groups Tea Partiers aren’t willing to […]
Republicans Decide They’re The True Victims, And We’d Better Believe Them… Or Else!
Everyone else is simply “collateral damage” who need to understand how upset and angry they are, and how Dems brought all this on themselves. Via Roll Call: Tea party protesters are reportedly planning a protest at the home of Senate Parliamentarian Alan Frumin later this week, prompting Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Terrance Gainer to work with local […]

Where Do Republicans Go From Here?
Republicans rolled the dice when it came to killing Health Care Reform. And they lost. My question is where they go from here? Coincidentally, David Frum asked the same question: No illusions please: This bill will not be repealed. Even if Republicans scored a 1994 style landslide in November, how many votes could we muster […]

Emptiest. Threat. Ever.
Apparently, Democrats in Washington are on the verge of seriously hurting the feelings of Congressional Republicans. So much so, in fact, that this is what they have threatened to do: While a bill-signing ceremony in the Rose Garden would provide at least a short-term boost to a beleaguered president, Republicans have made clear that the […]
Conservative Fantasies
What is it with Conservative males and crushes? “I was excited about Palin; I’m more excited about Liz. The same sort of excitement you get when you hear her father, except she’s this petite blonde with five kids … You have a little crush on her. It’s hard not to,” – Michael Goldfarb. Looks like a winning strategy.
Scott Brown Is a Big, Fat RINO!
I’m dyin’ here. Scott Brown was in and out of the Senate chamber and had voted against his party before most of his colleagues had even arrived. “It’s a small step, but it’s still a step,” Brown told reporters after casting a procedural vote in favor of the Democratic jobs bill, bucking his party leaders […]
Democrats To Force Vote On GOP Budget Plan
Last week, Rep. Paul Ryan presented the alternate Republican budget plan. It included privatization of Social Security and Medicare vouchers and would supposedly close the U.S. debt in 50 years. Republican leaders were fairly ambivalent about the budget since they spent all summer saying “we love Medicare.” Democratic leaders are introducing a resolution to make […]

I had no idea that this was going to be televised, but this is my only day in the office today so I wouldn’t have seen it anyway. But this video is from CSPAN for everyone who could not watch it live: This is pretty long, about an hour and 20 mins or so. I […]
