Meet The Press hosts all-Republican panel of voters to downplay impeachment

On December 15, NBC host Chuck Todd presented excerpts of an interview with voters in Kent County, Michigan, to discuss impeachment. The panel consisted entirely of Republican voters, most of whom voted for President Donald Trump in 2016, and most expressed either opposition or lack of interest in impeachment.

Corbyn lost

You don't have to watch Morning Joe this morning to know that this will mean that America doesn't really want affordable healthcare. These UK election results prove that we can't address the climate crisis. Corbyn's loss means that corporations must be allowed to run riot, and that we must always treat poor people like criminals. Corbyn somehow proves that America is only ready for a very watered down Dem message - 99% water or we'll lose the very wise centrist voters of north western bumbfuck.

King of the Spoiled Dolts

That Trump is a criminal and a terrible President isn't controversial.  His defenders in congress, on TV and at the bar don't try to refute any of that.  It is a given.  Braying idiots like Matt Gaetz who defend Trump know how awful he is, they like the awful.   Trump defenders are not trying to fuck with your head.  They simply don't think Trump should be in trouble for being a criminal and a terrible President.  They knew he was going to be a criminal and a terrible President when they voted for him.   Defending Trump isn't an exercise in denying reality.  It is an embrace of reality.

Coons on Morning Joe – Fact Checked (Dec 11)

Coons showed up on Morning Joe for his monthly tongue bath. Joe Scarborough - (Some dumb bullshit about baseball) Coons - Ha ha...(Some dumb bullshit about baseball) David Ignatious - Surprising comments by AG Barr denouncing the FBI's IG report, what do you think? Coons- Sad to see Barr continue fake conspiracy theories, I'm disappointed in Barr Willie Giest - You called for firing of Stephen Miller after white nationalist connections were discovered, how is that going? Coons- We don't use cruelty to children as a policy tool. [Fact Check - Turns out, We do.] Miller is a cancer at the heart of this Presidency. [Fact Check - Trump is a cancer at the heart of the Presidency.] Claire McGaskill - Back to IG report. There is going to be a heating in the Senate. Which Lindsey Graham do we expect to see "Groupie Lindsey Graham" or your Bi-partisan buddy? Coons- "I hope" my bi-partisan buddy, but we are more likely to see Trump toady Graham. [Fact Check - "hope" is the only tool in Coons' bipartisan toolbox.] Mike Barnicle - You confirmed Barr, what do you think about him now? What happens to Christopher Wray now? Coons - I voted against Barr, and for Wray. The FBI is good. Impressed Wray is standing up to Trump. [Fact Check - coons phoned in his vote aganst Barr because the Prayer Breakfast was sooooooooooo important.] XX - Use of FISA to surveil Trump is going to be a contenous issue in the hearing today. If there room for reform or is this going to be political theater? Coons - Politcal theatre.

The real Biden scandal

...is how Joe Biden worked hand in glove with George W. Bush to drag the country into Bush's vanity war in Iraq. Get him in front of Congress to testify…

Coons Spouts More Absurd Nonsense About Biden & Revisits Promise to Give McConnell Veto Power if Dems Win

Campaigning for Biden in Las Vegas, Coons said that Republican Senators will magically decide to work with a Biden admistration, because...reasons.
One of Biden’s key talking points centers on his claim of being able to work with Republicans to pass legislation. Coons said Biden possesses the “greatest reserve of goodwill in the Senate.” Even if the Democrats flip the Senate, he said, it would almost certainly be a weak majority that would still require some level of compromise with Republicans. Vulnerable Democratic incumbents and promising challengers in the Senate are also secretly hoping for a Biden nomination, Coons said, as they believe he would be the best candidate to lift others on the 2020 ticket.

There Are Now 18 House Republicans Retiring. What Does This Mean For Delaware?

Since the debacle of 2016, voters have taken every opportunity to vote against Trump and Trump enabling Republicans in state and local elections.  The DEGOP has done nothing to distance itself from Trump, so it is entirely reasonable to expect another Blue Wave in Delaware.   And yet, there are only two probably Republican quitters in Delaware.  Part of this is because the DEGOP has already been decimated at the polls, but part of it is because Delcollo and Hensley are Teflon. The smear "he is a Republican" doesn't really seem to stick to them.

Probable DEGOP Quitters:

Cathy Cloutier is still leading the pack.  The district has shifted under her feet and her brand of 1990's style Michael Castle republicanism doesn't make very much sense anymore.   Mike Ramone is the next most likely to find a sudden desire to spend more time with his family.  He knows that he caught a break last time out.

Should be DEGOP Quitters who aren't

If the world made sense, Anthony Delcollo would quit.  If Dems field a good candidate he may consider it given the composition of the district.   Similarly, Kevin Hensley should be in trouble but isn't.
