Trump In Japan: Jokes with Putin: “Don’t meddle in the election.” The Story Behind Trump’s Attempts To Screw The Census.  I agree with this: Deciding the case on a narrow reading of the Administrative Procedures Act, none of the justices commented substantively, even in dicta, on the bold-faced subtext of the census dispute: that Trump […]

AT&T is taking a shit on the rainbow flag

One day AT&T happily waves the rainbow flag, the next it happily takes a dump on it. It isn’t a kinkster call to Dan Savage’s podcast – it is literally true. They might be taken down a few days sooner once word gets out about the new report Popular Information worked on with Progressive Shopper. Nine of the biggest, most […]

Democratic Presidential Debate: Night Two Post-Mortem

Filed in Featured by on June 27, 2019 53 Comments

My quick take: The Big Winner: Kamala Harris. She would make Trump look even worse than she made Biden look. Winner: Pete Buttigieg. Unlike Beto. he looked like he belonged. Could you imagine an Indiana face-off with Mike Pence? Definitely could be the Veep with Warren or Harris. Big Loser: Bernie. I’m sorry, I love […]

That’s all. I simply don’t get it.

In case you hadn’t noticed, Laurel Canyon is having a moment, and it’s not just the new Springsteen album. Jakob Dylan has put together a documentary called “Echo in the Canyon” about the music scene in that part of Los Angeles in the late ’60s. The film has gotten mixed reviews — one big criticism […]

The news wasn’t ALL bad today. It’s June 27. Do you know where your Bond Bill is?  It has not yet been unveiled. There was speculation that it might be run today. If so, it will be run with no time for the public to look at it. For all the self-congratulations surrounding the signing of the Budget Bill, the two […]

Welcome to a debate-post-mortem-free edition of Open Thread. While you’re more than welcome to comment on the debate,  I had had enough after hearing Chris Matthews’ bloviations last night. Tim Ryan, my bleeping ass. Boeing Had History Of Failing To Fix Safety Problems. Of course, the problems were known to regulators, who didn’t do enough. […]

Klobuchar & John Carney Lost the Debate

Klobuchar & John Carney Lost the Debate

Wow. Klobuchar was terrible. If the world made sense, she’d see the light and drop out today. Who won?

The New Castle Country Democratic Party was one of the winners. They got a nice turnout for the debate watch party, signed up a bunch of people who are champing at the bit to start working to replace Republicans and shit-ass Democrats like John Carney.

Knowing that the Presidential vote of any given Delawarean is somewhat irrelevant, the party made the point that the Presidential year election is vital for leveraging the energy and turnout for down-ticket opportunities to turf out Republicans and shit-ass Democrats like John Carney.

Comment Rescue – more and better De Dems, but how?

Bamboozler asks: We all like to say we need more and better Dems and I could not agree more. But how to do it in the corporatocracy we call Delaware?

It is a great question. My initial reaction is that the most effective strategy must be two-pronged.
