Richard Korn to Run for State Auditor

Richard Korn has been a behind-the-scenes and in front of the curtain player in Democratic politics in Delaware for years, after moving here from Long Island. He has run for the General Assembly and for New Castle County Executive. In both Nassau County, NY and here in New Castle County, he has been successful in going to court to force both counties to better account for their cash reserves, as both counties at the time were employing questionable bookkeeping practices to produce budget surpluses. He hopes to parlay that background into a campaign for the State Auditorship.

All of this has happened before…

All of this has happened before.... but will it have to happen again? I have long said intolerance will cease as the intolerant among us die off. Is this the last long final battle that will finally bury the conservative notion of a 1950's white Christian intolerant America? By their rhetoric, conservatives seem to think it is. Their anger has a "nothing left to lose" quality to it. It is like they know we, as Americans, are at a turning point. It is a turning point I have longed for, and that they have feared, for years.

This graph shows a pretty amazing correlation. By watching a conservatively biased television network, Republicans reinforce their own opinions and then become more and more outlandish in their advocacy of those opinions, which in turn makes them all the more toxic to the electorate at large, which isolates them further so they all seek comfort again by watching Fox News to once again reinforce their beliefs….
