UPDATED: Democrats For Kovach (or whatever loser they pick to run against Carney)

This is the perfect opportunity to throw away a "message" vote. There is no way Carney is going to lose to that RWNJ freak Kovatch. Nor will he lose whatever loser that runs in place of Kovack. Both Carney and the eventual Republican candidate will be talking about how goddam important it is to cut the deficit and reduce benefits for Senior "current medicaid recipients will not be effected" (tm) and veterans, so why the fuck not vote for the Republican dumbass this time out? When Carney has to sweat out a closer than expected 52/48 win on election night - maybe he'll go back to Washington with a clear head. Sign up in the comments section. Let's get this done.

Newt-onian Physics (Edited for Precision)

Any candidate, named Mitt Romney, at rest will remain at rest in the hearts of true patriot Christian 'mericans, and any candidate. not named Mitt Romney, in motion will remain in motion unless they move up in the polls and get a little media scrutiny.

Veteran’s Day Open Thread [11.11.11]

At 11:11 am today I was trying to find the number of Delawareans that were killed in WWI. I couldn't find a number, but I did find out that a staggering number of people were killed in that war. (22 million casualties e.g. killed or wounded) Great Brittan alone lost 2.5 million out of 5 million in arms. At least the deaths were not in vain and the horror of "The Great War" made it impossible for any other country to ever contemplate the idea of going to war.

Who Should Liberals Bank With?

It is a legitimate questions. Liberals have lots of money, and don't really want to use that money to support banks that drove the economy off a cliff, then profited from it. Citibank, Chase and Bank of America are obviously out. So where should I apply for a mortgage if I want to live my values? Where should I keep my checking account? What are the downsides to credit unions ? These aren't rhetorical questions. I'm curious.

Republican Weekend Sightings?

I have to admit that I am surprised by how lack luster the DE GOP looks under the direction of Sig Sigler. Maybe it is some kind of rope-a-dope, but unless I'm missing something, they still have nobody running against Markell, Denn, Carper or KWS. That's crazy.

This Explains the Rise of Herman Cain

The guy is a Koch product.
IOWA CITY, Iowa — Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain has cast himself as the outsider, the pizza magnate with real-world experience who will bring fresh ideas to the nation's capital. But Cain's economic ideas, support and organization have close ties to two billionaire brothers who bankroll right-leaning causes through their group Americans for Prosperity.
